Xiaomi’s first Mini LED gaming monitor goes global

Xiaomi has finally unveiled its first Mini LED gaming monitor on the international market. Called the Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i, it was officially launched around four months ago after briefly appearing on the company’s global website. However, the device’s origins date back even further; it was introduced in China earlier this year under the name Redmi Display G Pro 27.

The G Pro 27i is equipped with the features expected from high-performance gaming monitors. Users will experience a 27-inch IPS panel, QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, and a 16:9 aspect ratio.

The monitor aims to provide a smooth gaming experience with its 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms (GtG) response time. In addition, thanks to AMD FreeSync support, it minimizes screen tearing and image ghosting problems, especially during intense gaming moments.

The G Pro 27i stands out from its competitors with its Mini LED backlight technology. This technology allows the monitor to have 1152 local dimming zones, which allows it to achieve VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification with a maximum HDR brightness of 1000 nits. These features promise deeper blacks, brighter highlights, and a more immersive viewing experience with HDR content.

Colour accuracy is another highlight of the G Pro 27i. The monitor is factory calibrated to ΔE<2, ensuring extremely low colour deviation. Colour gamut coverage is also impressive, supporting 97% Adobe RGB, 99% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB.

As for connectivity options, the monitor has an adjustable stand and supports a 75 x 75mm VESA mount for flexibility, while input ports include two DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.0 ports.

How much should I pay for the Xiaomi Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i?

The Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27i is now available in the US through major retailers like Amazon and Walmart, and carries a price tag of $329.99.
