WhatsApp is working on filtering chats with custom lists

WhatsApp continues to work on new features to improve the user experience. Last week, it was revealed that WhatsApp was developing a feature that would allow users to add contacts and group chats to lists. Now, it has been learned that it is working on a feature that can filter chats via these lists.

According to information shared by WABetaInfo, this new feature of WhatsApp will allow chats to be filtered with custom lists. The labels of the customized lists will be placed next to the existing labels such as “All,” “Unread” and “Groups” that are already present in the app. The names of the filters will be the same as the relevant list, and when you click on this label, you will be able to see the individual and group chats added to that list.

The new feature may be available to WhatsApp beta users first

This new feature was discovered in WhatsApp’s beta app for Android, version 2.24.18.16. However, since it is still in development, even beta users cannot access this feature. However, it is expected to be available to beta users first in the coming weeks and then to the general public.

This feature seems to allow users to manage their chats in a more organized and efficient way. WhatsApp’s constant improvement of the user experience with such innovations helps the platform maintain its popularity around the world. Especially for users with high chat traffic, such filtering options can make communication more manageable.

Although it is not yet clear when WhatsApp will offer these new features to a wide range of users, it is estimated that the feedback obtained during the beta process may accelerate this process.
