Samsung will test the Android 16 -based One UI 8 on Galaxy S24 and foldable models

Samsung’s Android 16 -based new interface update One UI 8is preparing to test the company’s existing and previous generation flagship devices. Although the official announcement has not been made, some leaks argue that the beta process can start this month. In the first stage of the test process Galaxy S24 Series It is stated that the 6th generation foldable devices will be included. This shows that the software will meet the most up -to -date hardware in the first place.

According to the developments, the distribution of One UI 8, as in previous years Samsung Members Application It will be limited to users in certain regions. The scope of the devices that will be included in the beta version is quite wide. Not only the latest models, but some high -end phones that have been released since 2022 are expected to be included in the program. Although these devices are approaching the end of the support process, Android 16 may be one of the last major updates they will receive.

Among the models mentioned in the leaks are the Galaxy S23 series, the Galaxy Z Fold5 and the Z Flip5, as well as the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4. Thus, one UI 8 will be delivered to Samsung’s three -generation flagship for test purposes at the same time. In the first stage, Galaxy S24, Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 models are expected to access the update, then the Galaxy S23 and Fold5/Flip5 devices are expected to be included in the early July. Galaxy S22 and 4th generation foldable devices can participate in the process in the first days of July.

Visual transitions and system animations are planned with one UI 8

In the new version of the new One, some visual arrangements to be felt throughout the system are planned. Softer animations in interface transitions, more modern effects in menus and blurred background applied when opening the window. However, there is no official explanation made by Samsung about which features will come with one UI 8. In this context, the final update notes can only become clear during the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 launch.

The test process will be understood by the test process what differences the update will create. In the leaked information so far, the Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy Z Fold5 devices tested with Android 16 in the Geekbench database are listed. This indicates that software tests start on certain devices. However, how stable the beta version will be for daily use will be shaped according to user experiences.

Samsung presented Android beta programs in a limited number of countries in previous years. Among these countries, users living in markets such as South Korea, USA, Germany, India and the United Kingdom stand out. Therefore, a similar distribution calendar can be monitored this year. In order to participate in the beta process, users need to receive an invitation through Samsung Members.

Since the software support of the models included in the new One UI version varies, it remains uncertain for the time being that the updated devices can go to Android 17. Especially for the Galaxy S22 and Fold4 series, Android 16 is a last major update. Despite this, Samsung’s inclusion of these devices in the beta process shows that it wants to cover a large part of the user base.

The feedback obtained during the beta test process will play an important role in the shaping of Samsung’s final software. Therefore, the problems or suggestions faced by the users participating in the beta program may be effective on the stability and performance of the system. The whole process will be clear with the official One UI 8 distribution calendar that Samsung will make at the end of summer.
