Samsung will make radical changes in internet browser with one UI 8

Samsung continues to work on the Android 16 -based One UI 8 update, while preparing to make remarkable changes in its own internet browser. Early tests of the company on the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 offer some clues about the innovations of One UI 8. Although the first versions do not contain a major transformation, changes in the Samsung Internet application can significantly affect the user experience. In this context, especially the arrangements made in the visual interface draw attention.

In the new version of the Samsung Internet, the classic black background is replaced by a customizable background image that can be selected by the user. In this way, users will have the opportunity to make browser experiences more personal. In addition, it is seen that the new design increases the gaps between the interface elements and thus offers a more spacious use. In particular, the simplifications made in the main page layout make the browser look more modern than before. In addition, the past data from other devices connected to the Samsung account have become more pronounced.

On the other hand, the new menu, which is opened when the three striped symbols at the top of the browser are touched, aims to increase the ease of use. The window opened has an order of circular buttons and icons. Since these symbols are designed in accordance with the existing theme color palette, the general visual integrity is maintained. Users will gain time by accessing the functions they use frequently faster. However, it should not be forgotten that these innovations are at an early stage.

Samsung makes your browser experience more personal and accessible

Another remarkable aspect of the new design is the cyclical list structure in which recently visited websites are shown. With this list, users can quickly access the sites they visit both on their own devices and other devices connected to the same Samsung account. This integration will provide great convenience, especially for those who use multiple devices. In addition, the fact that the list is shifted to a slideable structure stands out as an important detail that supports the flow of use.

However, it should be considered that one UI 8 is still at the beginning of the development process. In the following weeks, it is possible to add new features to the browser or to evolve the existing changes to a different structure. Samsung is expected to revision on the design according to feedback. Therefore, it should not be ignored that the changes in the current version may be completely different in the final version. In order to provide a more determined experience for users, the test process is important.

Samsung is expected to announce the One UI 8 update in July or August 2025. The company’s new foldable phones will be the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be the first models that will come out of the box with one UI 8. Subsequently, it is estimated that the update will be presented to other supported models, especially the Galaxy S25 series. Thus, Samsung seems to have learned lessons from the delayed distribution of the previous version One UI 7. Therefore, extra effort is made to spread the One UI 8 faster.

The new design of the Samsung Internet is considered an important step in terms of both visuality and ease of use. These changes stand out as a remarkable innovation, especially in a period of increase in personalization and accessibility expectations especially in the use of mobile browser. In addition, Samsung is expected to offer various improvements in the field of security and privacy with this update. However, an official detail is not shared at this stage. It is likely that there will be new developments under this title in the coming period.

In any case, it can be said that Samsung Internet users will have a more modern and personal experience with One UI 8. Innovations such as simplified interface structure and synchronization between devices seem to provide significant benefits in daily use. Samsung’s guidance of the development process, taking into account user feedback, will directly affect the success of the final version. Considering all this, it is understood that the One UI 8 is not only a system update, but also in Samsung’s approach to user experience.
