Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy S25 Ultra with a redesigned body, thinner frames, and possibly satellite connectivity support. It is also rumored that the device will be powered only by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, skipping the Exynos version. Although the latest leak does not fully confirm this information, it does give important clues about the device’s performance.
A Galaxy S25 Ultra prototype has been tested on Geekbench, scoring its first CPU score, and more information about the chipset has emerged.
According to the Geekbench listing, two of the processor’s cores are clocked at 4.2GHz, while the other six cores are clocked at up to 2.9GHz. This is a big upgrade over the previous model. The device’s single-core and multi-core results are about 30 percent higher than the Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S24 Ultra. The new architecture (2+6) structure has also been confirmed once again with this leak. The questionable results previously seen with an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 have now been replaced by clearer data.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra to be offered in 16GB version
The model number SM-938U indicates that this device will be available in the United States. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is listed with Android 15 and 12GB of RAM, but versions with 16GB of RAM are also expected to be released. The smartphone is expected to go official early next year.
