While the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has a really good camera, some argue that Samsung hasn’t fully utilized its camera hardware. Samsung released the phone at the beginning of the year and has since released two camera updates to improve the camera. Another update is said to be coming next month.
It is stated that this update will fix some minor issues with the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s camera. Famous tipster Ice Universe also underlines that the S24 Ultra’s camera update to be released next month will be major.
The phone’s August 2024 update is said to bring HDR, white balance, overexposure, overprocessing, and video zoom performance optimizations. If these issues are resolved, the phone could provide greater satisfaction to existing users and become a better option for many potential buyers.
According to the information provided by the famous tipster; Samsung did not improve the image quality in shots taken at zoom levels above 10x using the Galaxy S24 Ultra, whether in normal or night mode.
Right now, Samsung has really good quality hybrid zoom up to 10x zoom levels, but the algorithms struggle above 10x zoom levels. The South Korean company is expected to improve this aspect of its flagship phone in the coming months.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra uses brand new sensors
Samsung has used an all-new 50MP camera sensor in the Galaxy S24 Ultra and paired it with a 5x optical zoom lens. This model replaces the 10MP telephoto camera on the Galaxy S23 Ultra with a 10x optical zoom.
The company is expected to bring major improvements with the Galaxy S25 Ultra next year. The phone is said to feature a 200MP primary rear camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.
