New features and health functions for Google Pixel Watch 3 revealed

Leaked information about Google’s new smartwatch, the Pixel Watch 3, shows that the device will offer many new and improved features. According to promotional materials, the Pixel Watch 3 will be offered to users with thinner frames and wider screen options compared to previous models.

Images obtained by Android Headlines show that the Pixel Watch 3 will be released in two different models: 41mm and 45mm. The 41mm model is said to offer a 10 percent larger screen than the Pixel Watch 2, while the 45mm model offers a 40 percent larger screen. These models aim to improve the user experience with a larger screen area.

Pixel Watch 3 display and software features

The Pixel Watch 3 will be Google’s first smartwatch to feature Actua display technology. This new display technology will offer higher brightness and resolution, allowing users to see clearer and more vibrant images. The maximum brightness of the screens will reportedly reach 2000 nits, which is twice the brightness of the Pixel Watch 2. On the other hand, the screens are said to be “ultra-responsive,” which could mean a higher refresh rate.

On the software side, the Pixel Watch 3 stands out with its fitness and health features. A new feature called “Advanced Running Metrics” allows users to create custom cardio workouts. This feature provides a more efficient workout experience by guiding users during exercise through audio and haptic notifications. Users will be able to instantly learn when to sprint, cool down, or maintain the pace thanks to these notifications.

The health features seem to be quite comprehensive. The “Morning Summary” will provide users with their most important health metrics every morning. This feature will help users learn how well they slept and their readiness score for the day. The “Cardio Load” will measure heart health and show whether users have been pushing themselves too hard or not enough lately.

Some first-party apps are updated with the Google Pixel Watch 3

Google is also updating some first-party apps with the Pixel Watch 3. According to promotional materials, Google Maps will now be able to work without a connection thanks to offline maps. This feature is especially beneficial for users who travel. The Google Home app will allow users with a Google Nest Camera to watch live broadcasts from the watch. In addition, the Pixel Camera app will provide more control over the app, allowing users to quickly switch between photo and video modes.

Battery life will remain at 24 hours, but with the new Battery Saver mode, this period can be extended to 36 hours. The charging speed of the 41mm model will be 20% faster. There is no information yet about the charging time of the 45mm model.

Google’s next Pixel event will take place on August 13. At this event, it will be possible to get more information about all the features of the Pixel Watch 3. Equipped with new features and improvements, the Pixel Watch 3 aims to offer its users a better smartwatch experience.
