Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset will bring 5G to wider audiences

Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset this week. This new chipset aims to bring 5G connectivity to billions of people around the world. Building on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 that was introduced in June of last year, this new-generation chip uses the same 4nm platform. However, it also includes significant improvements such as better location accuracy with dual-band navIC, AI-powered audio improvements, and WiFi 5 support.

Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 can reach peak speeds of 1 Gbps with the 5G Modem-RF System, which is 7 times faster than Cat4 LTE peak speeds. This will significantly improve the user experience, especially in data-intensive applications. In addition, location accuracy is increased thanks to the support of NavIC L1+L5 with dual-frequency GPS. This feature provides more precise location information, especially in navigation and map applications.

Another important feature of the chipset is the upgrade of UFS 3.1 memory. Thanks to this, data processing speeds are significantly increased and users have a faster and smoother experience. On the other hand, Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 supports FHD + screens at 90 FPS, providing a high-resolution and smooth visual experience.

The 4nm process node used saves power, which extends the battery life of the devices. Supported by Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4+ technology, this chipset can charge 50 percent of the battery in as little as 15 minutes.

Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 to bring advanced features to more affordable devices

Qualcomm’s new processor is designed for more affordable devices. Together with leading partners like Xiaomi, Qualcomm aims to bring this technology to billions of devices. According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 Mobile Platform will make 5G technology more accessible, allowing more people to explore the world at 5G speeds.

The new chipset features will accelerate the spread of 5G technology, especially in emerging markets. Providing 5G connectivity with more affordable devices will provide faster and more reliable internet access to the masses. This will accelerate digital transformation and enable more people to benefit from the opportunities offered by the digital world.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset can be seen as an important step towards bringing 5G technology to the masses. The advanced features and cost-effective solutions offered by this new chipset aim to provide a better experience for mobile device users.
