HMD's new smartphone Skyline will be introduced in July

HMD is preparing to introduce a new smartphone called Skyline. According to news from the company's home country, Finland, this phone will become official in July. In the records of a Finnish retail store, it is stated that Skyline will be in stock as of July 10.

This phone will be positioned in a higher segment than the phones released by HMD under the Nokia brand. It is said that the European price of Skyline will be 520 euros. For this price, users will be offered 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. This version of the dual SIM supported phone will carry the model number TA-1688.

Although no other details have leaked yet, it seems likely that Skyline is the device developed under the code name “Tomcat”. This means that the smartphone will carry a Full HD + OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor.

The main camera in HMD Skyline will be a 108-megapixel sensor. An 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel depth or macro sensor are expected to accompany the main camera. It is said that there will be a 32 megapixel camera on the front.

A 4900 mAh battery with 33W charging support will provide the smartphone with the energy it needs. The phone has IP67 certification for water and dust resistance and will come out of the box with Android 14. The fingerprint scanner built into the screen and stereo speakers are also among the features of the phone.

HMD will release another phone other than Skyline

It is said that HMD is working on another device codenamed “Nighthawk”. It is stated that this phone will be offered for sale at a price below 300 euros. It is said that the phone, which is expected to come with a Full HD + resolution 120 Hz OLED screen, will be accompanied by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor and 8 GB RAM. Storage options are listed as 128 and 256 GB.

This phone will also come with a 108 megapixel main camera. However, the number of rear cameras is expected to increase to four. On the front, there will be a 32 megapixel camera. It is also among the rumors that the phone has a 5000 mAh battery and has a headphone jack and that the phone comes with Android 14 installed out of the box.
