Asus raises the bar in gaming laptops by renewing the ROG Zephyrus G16 model. The new model is powered by AMD's Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor equipped with the latest Zen 5 architecture. Additionally, the RAM capacity of the device has been increased to 32GB LPDDR5X.
The 16GB fixed RAM in the previous model was considered limiting by users. Taking this feedback into account, Asus increased the RAM capacity and increased the memory speed to 7500 MT / s. These changes significantly improve game performance and overall user experience.
The external design of the device remains the same as the previous model; The slim aluminum case and 240Hz OLED display are preserved. This display offers gamers and content creators a superior visual experience. However, the main changes have occurred in the interior equipment.
New GPU options in Asus ROG Zephyrus G16: RTX 4070 and RTX 4060
Nvidia RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 GPU options have been removed in the new model. Instead, RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 GPU options are offered. This change allows the device to retain its thin and light design, thus striking a balance between portability and performance.
The RTX 4070 configuration now comes with 32GB LPDDR5X RAM. The Intel Meteor Lake processor version in the previous model offered only 16GB of RAM. The new memory configuration provides a significant improvement in both capacity and speed.
Other innovations include Wi-Fi 7 support and the new white color option. These updates aim to improve the user experience while making the device more modern and attractive. These updates from Asus seem to make the Zephyrus G16 more preferred than its previous model.
However, these updates are specific to AMD configuration only. This may not be ideal for those who prefer versions with Intel processors. However, Asus is expected to reduce the price of older Meteor Lake configurations with these changes.
Asus has not yet announced the pricing details of the new Zephyrus G16, but the device is planned to be released in the second half of the year. Considering that AMD is pursuing a more aggressive marketing strategy with its Strix Point processors, the device is expected to hit the market soon.
