Fujifilm’s 87 gram Instax Pal 2 digital camera went on sale in Türkiye. The official Türkiye product page shows the device at a price of 13,499 TL and in stock. Offering black and white color options, the model saves photos digitally and works with a separate Instax device for printing.
The sale in Türkiye clarifies the local price of the new generation Pal, which was introduced in September. Pal 2 offers an optical viewfinder, F2.2 aperture lens and 28 mm focal length equivalent to 35 mm in its small body. In high image quality mode, it records JPEG photos with a resolution of 3776 × 2832 pixels, which corresponds to approximately 10.7 million pixels.
The internal memory of the machine stores approximately 100 photos, and there is microSD, microSDHC and microSDXC card support. The official page states approximately 400 images for every 1 GB of capacity of the card in high quality mode, and approximately 3,400 images in low quality mode. Card support extends up to 2 TB.
The dimensions of Pal 2 are given as 37 × 42 × 92.3 mm, excluding protrusions. The built-in lithium-ion battery charges in approximately two to three hours via USB-C connection. On the other hand, this period may vary depending on the temperature. In addition to automatic flash, there are also options to keep the flash on or off.
A compatible printer is required to print the photo on paper
For those who want a separate pocket-sized camera, the way Pal 2 is used is important and the device’s own body does not release film. Photos are transferred to the phone via the Instax Pal 2 application and printed via a compatible printer or hybrid instax camera. For this reason, it is necessary to evaluate the camera budget, printing device and film budget separately.
Supported models include the mini Link family, SQUARE Link, Link WIDE and WIDE 2. Additionally, Fujifilm also lists compatible hybrid models such as mini Evo, mini LiPlay and WIDE Evo. The choice between different instax film formats depends more on the printing device used than Pal 2.
The phone app offers a remote shutter function and the ability to view shots and edit settings. A two- or ten-second self-timer can also be used for group photos. The amount of 13,499 TL on the official Türkiye page reflects the camera price seen on October 14. When evaluating the model, it is necessary to take into account not only the small body, but also the compatibility with the existing Instax device and the desired printing format.
