Details and release date of AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors leaked

AMD is preparing to launch the Ryzen 9000 series, its new generation desktop processors. The details and release date of the Zen 5 architecture-based processors, codenamed “Granite Ridge”, were revealed with a leaked presentation image. Accordingly, AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors will meet users in July 2024.

The leaked image includes the technical specifications of the Ryzen 9 9950X, Ryzen 9 9900X, Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X models. Ryzen 9 9950X, the most powerful model of the series, will offer 16 cores and 32 threads. The processor, which stands out with its clock speed of up to 5.7GHz, 80MB cache and 170W TDP, targets performance-oriented users.

Ryzen 9 9900X, on the other hand, creates a sub-model with 12 cores, 24 threads, 5.6GHz clock speed, 76MB cache and 120W TDP values. While Ryzen 7 9700X appeals to mid-segment users with 8 cores, 16 threads, 5.5GHz clock speed, 40MB cache and 65W TDP; Ryzen 5 9600X represents the entry-level model with 6 cores, 12 threads, 5.4GHz clock speed, 38MB cache and 65W TDP features.

What will AMD Ryzen 9000 Series prices be like?

According to leaked information, the estimated prices of AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors are as follows:

  • Ryzen 9 9950X: $699
  • Ryzen 9 9900X: $549
  • Ryzen 7 9700X: $399
  • Ryzen 5 9600X: $299

The new generation Ryzen processors will be compatible with X870 and B850 motherboards with AM5 socket. The Ryzen 9000 series, which AMD is expected to officially announce at the Computex 2024 event, will offer significant improvements in performance and energy efficiency with the Zen 5 architecture. Consumers and PC enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting these powerful processors, which will be released in July 2024.
