Apple Vision Pro 2 will not be released before 18 months

Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset was available in the first days of the month. Although the Cupertino-based company’s first mixed reality product received generally positive comments from those who tried it, some criticisms were also raised. Some users wanted to return their Vision Pros, especially due to the high price and some problems. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman claimed in the latest issue of his newsletter Power On that Vision Pro 2 will not be released before 18 months. This means that Vision Pro could hit the market in 2026.

It is stated that the news that some users are referring to their Vision Pro raises concerns about the current performance of the mixed reality headset. Stating that the returns are not at an extraordinary level, Gurman said that a significant part of them points to certain problems.

Gurman’s article includes the following statements: “Vision Pro is a unique product. If you bought this product, you are either a die-hard Apple fan or an early adopter of new technologies. It can be assumed that this group is much less likely to send something back than the typical iPhone or iPad buyer.”

A few topics stand out in the complaints about Vision Pro. These include weight, limited field of view, application selection, current user experience, and the high price of $3,500.

Despite positioning itself as a luxury product with its premium price, the Vision Pro seems to face the typical challenges of first-generation technology. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg had criticized the Meta’s performance, particularly when compared to its own Quest 3, highlighting the hurdles Apple faces in a rapidly evolving market.

Apple may improve current experience as it prepares for Vision Pro 2

While it seems like it will be a long time before we meet Apple Vision Pro 2, it will not be a surprise to see touches to improve the experience of the current Vision Pro in this process.
