Apple has had a minor refresh of its iPad Air series in recent months with the 11- and 13-inch models it released. The company has introduced the new iPad Air, which has been powered by an M2 processor, with a Liquid Retina IPS LCD display.
According to a report from South Korea, the screen technology change in the iPad Air will have to wait until 2026. The report also states that Samsung will be Apple’s main OLED supplier.
It is stated that the OLED technology that Apple will use in the iPad Air will be different from the current OLED technology used in the iPad Pro. It is said that the Tandem (Double) OLED technology used in the latest iPad Pros will be replaced by single-layer OLED technology.
The claim of an iPad Air with an OLED screen has been on the agenda before
Last year, it was reported that Apple would switch to OLED technology in the iPad Air in 2026. It is also rumored that the company may also release an iPad mini with an 8.7-inch OLED screen.
