A101 lists the three-wheel Volta VB5 electric bike at a price of 29,990 TL. The retailer, which also sells different electric vehicles of Volta, has six installments for the cash price in its official product list. Compared to the 34,990 TL on the manufacturer’s current page, there is a 5,000 TL difference between the announced prices of the model. However, the battery capacity on the two pages is different, and the prices should not be considered exactly equivalent unless it is confirmed that the hardware is the same.
This comparison covers the VB5 model. The VB6 appearing in the same section of the A101 does not yield the same price result for the VSX or any other Volta vehicle. In addition, the status of the product in the basket, delivery region and the amount on the payment screen should be checked before purchasing.
Volta’s official VB5 technical sheet reveals 250 W motor power and a 36 V, 10 Ah lithium-ion battery. In the product registration of A101, the capacity is stated as 36 V, 13.5 Ah. The maximum speed is 25 km/h and the range is between 25 and 40 kilometers. Therefore, the upper range figure should not be read as the exact distance to be achieved on each route.
Rider weight, support level and road grade affect actual range. Additionally, it is not clear whether the capacity difference is due to a different production version or a registration error. For this reason, especially those planning a round-trip route should not act only based on the upper value of 40 kilometers.
Battery capacity should be confirmed before purchasing
There are carrying baskets at the front and rear of the model. The manufacturer states the maximum carrying capacity as 120 kilograms and the mass of the vehicle as 34.55 kilograms. Carrying capacity should not be evaluated only as the amount of load to be placed in the basket, but should be considered together with the driver and usage conditions.
In addition, the removable battery does not require carrying the entire bike near a socket for charging. Declared charging time is four to five hours. This structure can be a practical detail if the daily parking place and the charging point are different, but the actual duration depends on the initial charge of the battery and the conditions.
The technical sheet includes front and rear mechanical disc brakes. Five levels are described for electrical support. These are the specifications given by the manufacturer, there is no driving or braking distance test conducted within the scope of this news.
On the other hand, the term installment in A101’s list does not mean that all cards will offer the same payment plan. You can check the number of installments, total price and delivery conditions on the final payment screen of the product you are interested in. Since in-store or online stocks may vary, the appearance of the price in the list does not guarantee uninterrupted availability for every location.
The three-wheeled structure of the VB5 is the main factor that distinguishes it from other electric bicycles with similar model names. Verifying the capacity through the battery label and product code of the vehicle subject to sale is also an important part of this comparison. However, the choice should not be reduced only to the number of wheels and the discount difference. The route to be used, storage space and total load requirement determine whether the price advantage will be realized in daily use.
