Sennheiser’s new open design headphone Accentum Clip works up to 9 hours on a single charge

Sennheiser introduced its new wireless headset, Accentum Clip, targeting users who prefer open-ear design. The new model, which joins the open-design headphone category that has become widespread in recent years, especially among users who want to continue hearing environmental sounds, clings to the ear area with its clip-like structure. The company states that the product aims to provide a comfortable experience for both daily use and on-the-go scenarios. Accentum Clip stands out with its long battery life and personalization options offered through the application.

The new model has 12 mm dynamic drivers. Sennheiser states that these drivers offer clear sound reproduction, strong bass performance and balanced treble character. In addition, the technology called Dynamic EQ helps preserve sound quality by automatically adjusting the frequency balance at low sound levels. Since it is not always easy to maintain sound performance in open-design headphones, such software improvements can be decisive in terms of user experience.

The headset works with the Sennheiser Smart Control Plus application. Users can access five-band equalizer settings through the application and adjust the sound character according to their preferences. In addition, shareable sound profiles and the Sound Check tool are also offered. The Sound Check feature helps the user determine sound settings that suit their listening habits. Sennheiser says that thanks to its design choices for speaker placement and sound insulation, it reduces the spread of sound to the environment and directs it to the user’s ear as much as possible.

Sennheiser Accentum Clip offers long battery life and multi-device support

Accentum Clip adopts the clip-type open ear design, which has become popular recently. While the flexible silicone bridge structure fits on the edge of the ear, each earphone weighs only 6.8 grams. The company emphasizes the light structure of the product, stating that this weight is equivalent to a hotel key card and card case. Lightweight design can be advantageous in terms of comfort, especially for people who use headphones throughout the day.

Thanks to touch control support, volume, media playback and call management can be carried out directly via the headset. In addition, Accentum Clip offers resistance to dust and sweat with its IP54 certification. This feature makes the product more suitable for those who want to use it during walking, daily transportation or light sports activities. Considering that open-design headphones are preferred especially in running and urban use scenarios, the durability level expands the usage area of the product.

On the battery side, up to nine hours of usage time is offered on a single charge. With the charging box, this time becomes even longer. The box can provide three full additional charges to the headphones. Thus, the total usage time reaches approximately 36 hours. This value is at a competitive level in the open design wireless headset segment.

Connectivity features include Bluetooth multipoint support. In this way, users can pair the headset with more than one device at the same time and switch between devices more easily. In addition, it is possible to use it with only one headset. A dual-microphone system is preferred for interviews. Artificial intelligence-supported noise reduction technology helps make clearer phone calls by separating the user’s voice from background noise.

On the other hand, the global accessibility of the product will be limited in the initial stage. Sennheiser announced that it will implement a phased distribution plan for Accentum Clip. The model, which will first go on sale in Canada, China and Central and South American markets, is planned to be available in the United Kingdom and European countries later. The company has not yet shared any information about other regions. The Canadian sales price of Accentum Clip was announced as 269.95 Canadian dollars. This figure corresponds to approximately 190 US dollars at the current exchange rate. For users interested in open-ear design, the product stands out as a new option that combines Sennheiser’s sound technologies with a different form factor.
