Galaxy S26 FE revealed before launch, camera design surprises

Galaxy S26 FE, which is expected to be the next model in Samsung’s Fan Edition series, leaked to the internet months before the official announcement. The device, which appeared in the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) database, was displayed with a real product photo. While the shared image shows that Samsung has largely preserved its current design approach, a small change in the rear camera section draws attention.

Listed with the model number SM-S741, the Galaxy S26 FE continues the lines of the Galaxy S26 series in terms of overall appearance. Although no new information is shared about the front of the device and its general body structure, the camera placement on the back stands out as the most striking point of the design. While the simple camera layout that Samsung has adopted in recent years has been preserved, there is a raised camera protrusion around the camera modules.

Compared to the Galaxy S25 FE, it can be said that the most significant innovation on the design side is this camera protrusion. Samsung had previously used a similar approach in the Galaxy Z Fold series. However, in the new image, it is noteworthy that the camera section is positioned a little closer to the top and side edges of the phone compared to previous models. This layout choice creates a different appearance on the back of the device than the usual Samsung design.

Although this change does not give any clue as to whether it will offer a technical advantage, it can easily distinguish the device from existing Fan Edition models. On the other hand, it does not seem possible to make definitive judgments about the final design based on a single image. There is a possibility that Samsung will make minor revisions to the design until the launch.

Exynos 2500 and Android 17 claim for Galaxy S26 FE

The information about the Galaxy S26 FE is quite limited at the moment. Despite this, some leaks that have come to the fore in recent weeks have begun to give the first clues about the technical features of the device. According to previously shared information, the phone is expected to be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2500 processor. In addition, it is claimed that it will come with 8 GB RAM capacity and Android 17 operating system out of the box.

Samsung’s Fan Edition models generally aim to bring some features from the flagship series to more accessible price levels. For this reason, the Galaxy S26 FE is expected to make cost-oriented choices in certain areas while maintaining some hardware and software features in the Galaxy S26 family. In addition, details about the screen, battery capacity and camera system are not yet clear.

The record in the WPC database does not provide much information about technical specifications. The 5 W charging value seen in the list is most likely considered temporary or representative information. In addition, there are no details on the device indicating Magnetic Power Profile (MPP) support or an internal magnet system.

However, the Galaxy S26 FE appears to support the Qi 2.2.1 wireless charging standard. This support seems compatible with the structure found in other members of Samsung’s magnetless Galaxy S26 series. New certification records and leaks that will emerge in the coming weeks will provide clearer information about the hardware and release date of the device. In light of current data, it can be said that the Galaxy S26 FE is shaped as a model that maintains Samsung’s current design line but tries to differentiate itself with small visual touches.
