Galaxy S26’s prominent AI innovations now on more devices

Samsung has achieved a remarkable innovation by distributing the One UI 8.5 beta update for the Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy Z Fold 7. The update in question brings the new Galaxy AI features, recently announced with the Galaxy S26 series, to older models. Thus, Samsung aims to keep the user experience up to date while continuing its approach to extend device life on the software side. Providing the update as part of the beta version allows features to be tested before reaching the masses.

Features that come with the new package include Creative Studio, Call Screening, improved Photo Assist and more capable Audio Eraser. While Creative Studio makes users’ visual content production more flexible, it makes it easier to enrich social media posts thanks to artificial intelligence-supported editing tools. In addition, the Call Screening feature can better analyze calls from unknown numbers and provide advance information to the user. This approach provides a practical advantage, especially in markets where spam calls are high.

Galaxy AI innovations with One UI 8.5 expand

The new version of Photo Assist included in the update focuses on producing more accurate results in the photo editing process. Functions such as object removal, background editing and auto-enhancement work more consistently, reducing the need for user intervention. On the other hand, improvements made by Audio Eraser allow you to more effectively clean up unwanted background sounds in videos. This feature seems to provide tangible benefits in daily use, especially for content creators.

Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 users who have already participated in the One UI 8.5 beta program can obtain the update directly via over-the-air update. In cases where the notification is not received, manual control can be made from the software update section in the Settings menu. However, it is stated that similar innovations will be offered with the stable version for users who are not included in the beta program. This means that the features will reach a wider user base over time.

Samsung’s recent approach to spreading artificial intelligence features to more devices has attracted attention. However, it should be noted that some advanced functions may not offer the same performance on all devices due to hardware limitations. Still, the latest update means significant software support, especially for owners of previous-generation flagship devices. This shows that the brand’s long-term update policy is directly reflected in the user experience.
