This feature first appeared at the Microsoft Build 2025 event. During a session for developers, the demo shows how the Spotify session, which is open on mobile, could be maintained from where it left on the computer. If the user has an open application on the mobile device, the Windows 11 taskbar will have a small badge on the symbol of that application.
