Watch Apple’s M4 MacBook Pro promotional video

Apple continued this week, where it announced its hardware innovations step by step, with the introduction of a new MacBook Pro. Equipped with the company’s new M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max chips, the MacBook Pro series stands out with its improved performance and new color options. The promotional video of the MacBook Pro with M4 chip is available on Apple’s official website and YouTube channel. In the video, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Engineering John Ternus emphasizes the “powerful professional features” of the device and states that this new generation MacBook Pro brings Apple silicon performance to the top.

At the beginning of the trailer, a strong wind effect is used when Ternus opens the MacBook Pro, symbolizing the performance power of the device. The base model of the new MacBook Pro now starts with 16 GB of RAM and is claimed to offer 1.8 times faster performance compared to the previous M1 chip model. In addition, the device is equipped with a neural engine with higher processing power than previous generations, thanks to advanced artificial intelligence features called Apple Intelligence.

Improved performance with new generation M4 chips

Trevor McLeod, one of Apple’s engineering team, stated that the entry-level MacBook Pro with M4 chip will be offered in space black, which was only available in high-end models in the previous series. This model provides 80% faster performance, especially in tasks that require high processing power, such as photo editing. One of the biggest innovations provided by Apple’s new M4 chip series is the increase in the minimum RAM capacity to 16 GB, which aims to offer a smoother user experience and multitasking management.

On the other hand, MacBook Pro, which comes with the M4 Pro chip, now starts with 24 GB RAM and takes performance to the next level with higher memory capacity. The M4 Max model has 16 CPU cores and 40 GPU cores. This configuration makes the device very powerful, especially in graphics-intensive work and applications that require high performance. Tim Millet, Apple’s VP of Platform Architecture, noted that the combined memory bandwidth offered by the M4 Max exceeds half a terabyte per second, making it four times faster than the most powerful AI chips on the market.

Apple updated not only the MacBook Pro but also the MacBook Air series, increasing the minimum RAM capacity to 16 GB. This update offers better performance, especially for users who want to obtain the device at a more economical price. Thus, even Apple’s entry-level laptop models will have the ability to perform faster multitasking.

These step-by-step introductions by Apple stand out as part of the company’s strategy to share hardware innovations with users more effectively. Apple, which also updated its iMac and Mac Mini series this week, aims to introduce the features of each product in its segment in more detail by announcing its innovations a few days apart. Apple’s new devices continue to attract users’ attention with the performance improvements and updated hardware features they offer.
