Vivo has confirmed the launch date of the X200 series as October 14. The series is initially expected to consist of at least two new models, the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro. However, an Ultra model is expected to join the series in early 2025. Still, leaks about the Vivo X200 Ultra model continue to come.
Digital Chat Station, one of the reliable sources, shared important information about the processor and camera of the Vivo X200 Ultra in a new leak. According to the source, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor codenamed “SM8750”. On the camera side, a periscope lens with a resolution of 200MP will be used.
It is also said that there will be three more 50MP resolution lenses. If this leak is true, the Vivo X200 Ultra will have a quad-lens camera system compared to the triple-lens setup on the X100 Ultra.
One of these three 50MP lenses is said to be the main module with a large fixed aperture. Although the source did not provide specific information about the other two 50MP lenses, it is likely that they are ultra-wide-angle and telephoto lenses.
In a separate leak that occurred on the same day, the battery sizes of the X200 series were revealed. According to this leak, the largest battery will be found in the X200 Pro model with a capacity of 6000 mAh. In addition, it is suggested that there will be an intermediate model in the series, which will probably be called the Vivo X200 Mini and will carry a 5700 mAh battery. The standard Vivo X200 model will have a 5800 mAh battery.
Vivo X200 Ultra to come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4
While the rest of the X200 series will be powered by MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9400 chip, the X200 Ultra will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. It is also speculated that the phone will come with an OLED display with 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. However, there is no clear information about the other specifications of the device yet.
