Turkcell hosted an important international event in Istanbul. The first face-to-face meeting of the FG-AINN group, established by the International Telecommunications Association (ITU) and focused on artificial intelligence-based networks, was held in Türkiye. The event brought together many institutions, experts and representatives working in the field of telecommunications under the same roof. In addition to all these, names such as BTK President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu and Director of ITU Standardization Bureau Seizo Onoe attended the meeting.
In the sessions of the future of network technologies at the summit, the integration of artificial intelligence into telecom infrastructure was discussed in detail. In the workshops organized during the event, autonomous working systems, low -delay connections and artificial intelligence -supported architectures were in the forefront. The meeting was enriched with technical evaluations aimed at directing the standard determination processes.
Turkcell General Manager Ali Taha Koç clearly revealed the company’s vision in his opening speech. He said that the network systems that work with artificial intelligence not only increase productivity and also offer a new communication model. According to Koç, these systems will not only increase the quality of service with a delay time close to zero, but also offer a more flexible infrastructure. In addition, Koç emphasized their satisfaction with taking part in international studies in this field.
The fact that the summit took place on April 14, World Quantum Day was also a remarkable detail. Koç said that quantum technologies will shape the world of communication in the near future. He pointed out that Turkcell has been working not only in Türkiye but at a global level. These technologies are expected to bring great change not only in infrastructure but also in security and cryptography.
Turkcell is preparing for the post -quantum period
It was also announced that Turkcell was included in a group created for the preparation of the post -quantum period within GSMA. This group focuses on producing a new generation of cryptography solutions. The fact that Turkcell was the first and only company participating in this formation from Türkiye became one of the frequently emphasized headings. On the other hand, this participation reveals the influence of Türkiye on the global technology ecosystem.
Seizo Onoe Director of the ITU Standardization Bureau drew attention to the rapid integration process of artificial intelligence applications. According to him, this integration further increases the need for common standards in the international arena. Onoe underlined the constructive role that the FG-AINN group will play in this process. In addition, he said that these collaborations will directly contribute to the network architecture of the future.
BTK President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu gave important messages at the meeting. He stressed that artificial intelligence -supported networks are not only a technical development, but also mean a sectoral transformation. He said that this meeting in Istanbul is an important step in determining the framework of the communication networks of the future. In addition, he underlined that Türkiye is one of the countries that contribute to this transformation.
