Thus, it is aimed to establish a property structure in compliance with the US laws.

It is also stated that the agreement does not only cover the property change. It is stated that Tiktok has developed a new application version of the United States. According to the sources within the company, this new application is prepared under the name “M2 .. The current application is referred to as “M” code in the company.
The new version is planned to be broadcast in stores like Google Play and App Store on 5 September 2025. As of this date, the existing Tiktok application will be removed from the stores. However, this removal process will not mean that the application becomes completely unusable. Following the release of the M2, the current version will be completely dysfunctional in March 2026.
In addition to all these, developments on the political front draw attention. Trump management extended the period given for the third time to remove Tiktok from stores. Although this extension is legally controversial, it is stated that the current period will end in mid -September. This suggests that it is not a coincidence to publish the M2 version in this time period.
On the other hand, it is obvious that the process is not limited to practice. Oracle’s cloud infrastructure agreement with the US government stands out as a remarkable development in this context. According to Wall Street Journal, Oracle has signed a contract with the first comprehensive cloud infrastructure discount for the public sector. In this context, Oracle licensed software products will be reduced to 75 percent discount.
It is seen that Oracle has taken a critical position in the Tiktok process with both the infrastructure and investor role. Within the scope of the new structuring, the investor group to be included in Oracle is important in terms of compliance with the conditions of the US government. ByTedance has disposed of the majority stake, but the minority will remain in partnership. Thus, the company’s Chinese connection will not be completely broken.
However, in order to implement this structure, the Chinese government is also required. Chinese authorities can bring limitations to the sale of technological assets abroad. The change in the property structure of a global effective practice, such as Tiktok, is also strategic for China. Therefore, the completion of the process in a short time does not appear to be guaranteed.
