Samsung’s Galaxy UNPacked event on Wednesday, July 9, approached, the details of the three new foldable phone expected to be introduced fell to the internet. The technical information of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 and New Z Flip 7 FE models was shared by Roland Quandt. Quandt said that he obtained information directly from Samsung’s promotional materials. These leaks have revealed many critical details from the screen sizes of the devices to battery capacities.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 comes with a significant thin design compared to previous models. The device is measured only 4.2 mm thick; When it is closed, it reaches 8.9 mm. This positions it very close to the Honor Magic V5 and almost the same level with the Oppo Find N5. However, despite this subtlety, with a weight of 216 grams, the lightest book type so far is the foldable phone.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 Comes on Larger Screens
The screens of Fold 7 are also enlarged. There is a 6.5 -inch panel on the outer surface, while a large 8 -inch screen welcomes the user. While the screens are growing, the capacity of 4,400 mAh is constant. The device will work with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and is expected to be available with 256 GB and 512 GB storage options.
On the other hand, it was claimed that a FOLD 7 variant of 1 TB in previous leaks could be available in some markets. On the camera side, a main camera with a resolution of 200 Megapixel is mentioned. Blue, black and silver are preferred as color options. Despite the wider screens than Fold 6, it comes with a lighter and thinner body, highlights design improvements.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 also includes remarkable innovations. The outer screen has reached the size of 4.1 inches and the screen is expanded to surround the two camera lens. This design approach stands out with its similarity to Motorola’s latest Razr models. The details of the design were also confirmed by a leaked video and rendering since March.
The battery capacity of the Flip 7 is 4,300 mAh and this value is quite close to Fold 7. In addition, the device is made thinner. Storage options and colors remain the same as Fold 7. On the camera side, a 50 megapixel main camera was preferred.
Apart from these two models, Samsung is preparing to introduce the Z Flip 7 Fe, as a more affordable alternative. The Flip 7 Fe will offer two different storage options, 128 GB and 256 GB. The battery capacity is determined as 4,000 mAh, which is slightly lower than the basic Flip 7. The screen sizes of the device are expected to be the same as the Flip 7.
In addition to all these, there is information that the cover screen of the Flip 7 Fe model will be wide. However, this detail contradicts the claim that the Flip 6 design specified in the previous reports will be reused. The color options are limited to this model: only black and white. The Flip 7 Fe is aimed at creating an accessible alternative for users in terms of price-performance balance.
Quandt’s content includes not only phones, but also the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic models. Both hours of models used in the Galaxy Watch Ultra adopted the “Squircle” body design. They are expected to offer a more sporty and angular appearance in terms of design. However, any new details about the foldable device with a three -piece display are not leaked.
