Threads give users more control over who can quote their posts. Those who don't want anyone to be able to quote their posts can now only allow people they follow to do so. Those who wish will be able to completely disable quotes in their posts.
Adam Mosseri, chief executive of Instagram and Threads, said that this update will help Threads remain a “more positive place.” It was stated that the feature in question was made available to all users after being tested for about a month.
While the number of monthly users of Threads exceeds 150 million, new additions are coming to improve security and overall user experience. For this purpose, some features are transferred directly from Instagram.
Threads continues testing new features
The platform recently expanded the coverage of the “hidden words” feature. Thanks to this feature, users can prevent certain words from appearing in their streams. Manual or automatic archiving feature is also among the innovations that are still being tested. At this point, it is worth reminding that access to Threads from Turkey has been officially stopped as of last week.
