According to new news, Apple is preparing to launch a renewed Apple Vision Pro model equipped with advanced features, at the earliest, one year later. Among Apple’s long-term strategies regarding the Vision series, it is stated that the first step will be an updated Apple Vision Pro with powerful features, while the affordable “Apple Vision” model may only come to the market a few years later.
According to Bloomberg, this new Apple Vision Pro model will be equipped with a more advanced M5 processor, but will largely retain the design and general features of the current model. According to estimates, the new Apple Vision Pro model will be released in late 2025 or spring 2026. With this update, Apple aims to increase the performance of the Vision Pro series and present it to the user as an interesting product at the beginning of the M5 processor cycle.
There is no expectation for the affordable “Apple Vision” before 2027
Rumors that Apple has developed an affordable model in the Vision series have been on the agenda for a long time. However, Ming-Chi Kuo, a reliable supply chain analyst, stated that the launch of the affordable Apple Vision model has been postponed until 2027. Kuo pointed out that simply lowering the price would not meaningfully change sales expectations, and that is why Apple is focusing on attracting users by further improving its existing Vision Pro product.
It is known that Apple is also interested in the “smart glasses” concept and follows Meta’s developments in this field closely. This technological innovation may also open the door to lighter and practical products for daily use that can be added to Apple’s Vision series in the future.
The second generation Apple Vision Pro model with the new M5 processor aims to improve the current design of the Vision series. This second generation model of Apple is considered as an interim update, but a completely new Vision series is planned to be developed after 2027. With this long-term strategy, Apple aims to gain a strong position in the augmented reality market, while the Vision series aims to appeal to different user audiences.
