Earlier this week, Samsung’s much-anticipated smartphones Galaxy A35 and A55 were introduced in the global market. DxOMark, which is considered the authority on camera and screen evaluation, made positive comments about both phones that we expect to see in Turkey soon.
Galaxy A35 and A55 push the limits in screen quality
Notably, DxOMark described both models as “display champions” in their price range. Galaxy A35 is at the top among phones in the international price range under 400 dollars, and Galaxy A55 is at the top among devices under 500 dollars.
According to DxOMark’s tests, the Galaxy A35 reaches a peak brightness of 1344 nits, while the A55 can reach an impressive brightness value of 1638 nits. These values are also noteworthy as they are close to or exceed the 1600 nits achieved by last year’s Samsung flagship Galaxy S23 in the DxOMark evaluation. Thus, the ability of mid-segment smartphones to reach flagship level brightness values stands out as a significant achievement.
The excellent color accuracy of both phones in different lighting conditions and their superior performance in HDR video playback were praised by the DxOMark testing team.
Additionally, the Galaxy A35 ranks as the second best camera in its price category, outperforming its competitors especially in outdoor photography and video recording. In comparison, the Galaxy A55 ranked fifteenth in its segment in terms of camera performance. Although it performs well under standard conditions, it is stated that the phone may have difficulty capturing backlight, low-light scenarios and moving scenes.
If we take a brief look at the technical specifications, both Galaxy A smartphones come with a 6.6 inch Super AMOLED screen and offer Full HD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Galaxy A55 is powered by the Exynos 1480 chipset and is offered with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage options. Galaxy A35, on the other hand, is powered by Exynos 1380 and has 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
In terms of camera hardware, the A55 has a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5MP camera. The Galaxy A35 has a 50-megapixel main sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and 5-megapixel macro camera.
Both models are backed by a 5000mAh capacity battery and support 25W wired charging. With these features, Samsung aims to offer its users both high performance and long battery life.
