News and leaks about the Nothing Phone 2a have been floating around for a while now. The latest addition to these leaks was the image shared by OnLeaks last week, which was said to belong to the phone. Although this image seemed quite realistic at first glance, it turned out to be fake.
The first suspicion that this image was fake was shared by famous sensationalist Evan Blass. Blass explained that Nothing’s slogan “See the world with new eyes” is a reference to the new camera design of the Phone 2a; However, in the leaked image, it was seen that Phone 2a had a camera design similar to the company’s other phones. The renewed camera design was also recently revealed thanks to another leak.
Following this post, OnLeaks also confirmed that the image in its post was not real. Blass also stated that the design that appeared recently, in which the two cameras are placed horizontally in the middle of the screen, is closer to reality.
Nothing Phone 2a may become official at the end of February
It will not be a surprise to encounter more news and leaks about Nothing Phone 2a in the coming days. The smartphone is expected to be unveiled as part of the 2024 Mobile World Congress (MWC 2024) to be held in Barcelona in the last days of the month.
