The design of Huawei Pura X Max was shared with official images before the launch

Huawei officially shared the design of the Pura X Max model before the event to be held on April 20. Although the announcement reveals the technical details of the device to a limited extent, it clearly shows that a different approach has been adopted in the foldable phone segment. With this model, the company aims to offer a new form factor that focuses on a larger screen experience. This approach is a marked departure from the long and narrow screen concept seen in most current foldable phones.

Huawei Pura X Max stands out with its foldable structure that expands horizontally. It is stated that the device, which is expected to offer an internal screen of approximately 7.6 to 7.69 inches when opened, will have an aspect ratio of 16:10. This ratio brings the device closer to small tablets in terms of usage. Providing a wider working area, especially in multitasking, video watching and productivity-oriented applications, is among the factors that directly affect the practical use of the device. In this respect, it is stated that it can offer a similar experience to compact tablets such as iPad mini.

Huawei Pura X Max differs with its wide screen approach

The outer screen of the device is designed to be approximately 5.5 inches in size. This screen allows users to text, call and perform basic operations without turning on the device. Thus, the foldable structure maintains its functionality without creating an additional burden in daily use. Looking at the design details, the flat frame structure attracts attention, while there is a camera hole centered on the outer screen. On the inner screen, it can be seen that the camera position is placed at a slightly different point.

The horizontally positioned camera module at the back attracts attention. It can be said that this module, which contains multiple sensors, continues the design line that Huawei has recently adopted. In addition, the general lines of the device offer a simpler and more function-oriented appearance. This approach is an indirect response to issues such as thickness and usage ergonomics, which are frequently criticized, especially in foldable phones.

On the hardware side, Pura X Max is expected to be powered by Huawei’s Kirin 9030 processor. It is said that the same chipset will also be included in the Pura 90 series. In addition, it has been confirmed that the device will be offered with different memory and storage options. While users will have 12 GB RAM and 256 GB and 512 GB storage options, the higher segment will also include 16 GB RAM, 512 GB and 1 TB storage options. The version called the collection edition is expected to offer higher-level features.

In terms of color options, five different alternatives will be offered: black, white, blue, gold and orange. This diversity makes it easier for the device to appeal to different user preferences. The official launch of the model, which is available for pre-order in China, will be held on April 20, along with the Pura 90 series.
