Redmi, under the umbrella of Xiaomi, officially announced the launch date of the K90 Max model, which it had recently given hints about. According to the company’s statement, the device will meet users at the event to be held in China on April 21. According to previously shared information, the model will be positioned between the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro Max, which are currently on sale. Not only phones but also new devices in different product categories will take the stage at the promotional event.

The prominent features of the new model include a 6.83-inch screen. This panel aims for a smooth experience, especially on the gaming side, by offering a 165Hz refresh rate. In addition, the peak brightness value reaching 3500 nits aims to increase visibility outdoors. The optimizations made for game performance also attract attention; More than 40 games are planned to be supported up to 165 fps. In addition, special software improvements that increase image clarity in dark scenes are among the prominent details of the device.

The fan cooling system stands out in the Redmi K90 Max model

Redmi K90 Max stands out as the brand’s first smartphone to feature an internal fan system. The 18.1 mm vertical air inlet fan design can provide air flow up to 0.42 CFM. It is stated that thanks to this structure, the device can be cooled in a short time and performance can be maintained during long gaming sessions. The fact that the cooling system is built on a suspended structure that works independently of the motherboard provides flexibility in the internal layout of the device.

However, it is stated that this design does not make any compromises regarding water and dust resistance. It is reported that Redmi K90 Max will have IP66, IP68 and IP69 certificates. In addition to all these, it is shared that a structure with metal bearings was preferred in the fan system and that it was subjected to long-life tests. This approach aims to reduce question marks regarding the durability of active cooling systems.

On the hardware side, MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 processor, developed with a 3 nm production process, will be included. In addition, it is stated that the device will have an independent graphics chip, which will especially increase gaming performance. As for the battery capacity, a value between 8000 mAh and 8500 mAh is predicted. Thanks to 100W fast charging support, it is aimed to charge the large battery in a short time.

Other features of the device include an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, a specially tuned dual speaker system and a body design with a metal frame. In addition, Redmi K Pad 2 and Redmi Pad 2 SE tablet models are expected to be introduced at the event. While K Pad 2 is expected to come with the Dimensity 9500 processor, Pad 2 SE will target more mid-range users. Redmi Book Pro (2026) laptop models with 14-inch and 16-inch screen sizes will also be announced at the same event.
