Samsung is preparing to introduce the Galaxy S25 series in January. While many claims have been made about the hardware and software features of the device, the latest news suggests that a very useful software feature may be included in this new series.
According to a news published by AndroidAuthority; Leaked files reveal that Samsung is working on the vehicle accident detection feature we see in Apple iPhone and Google Pixel models. This technology detects accidents and makes it easier for users to call for help in emergency situations. In January 2024, claims that the Galaxy S24 and Z Fold 5 models could be equipped with this feature came to the fore. However, it seems that this feature may be activated with the Galaxy S25 series.
Leaks confirm the existence of a new sensor that will be included in the Galaxy S25 Ultra model. However, Samsung has not made this feature available yet. Although the codes indicate that the feature is included in the device, it shows that it is not actively used in current Samsung models. It is stated that the technology works through a “composite” sensor. This sensor can detect an accident by combining data from multiple physical sensors.
Samsung seems to have integrated this technology into the Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy Z Fold 5 models. However, these models do not have a user interface or active function for vehicle accident detection. Additionally, there is no detail about this feature in Samsung’s One UI 7 version. On the other hand, all these signs indicate that the feature may be available in the Galaxy S25 series or with a later software update.
What features will Samsung offer in the Galaxy S25 series?
Other features of the Galaxy S25 series include Qualcomm’s latest processor Snapdragon 8 Elite, 12 GB RAM and up to 256 GB storage options. It is also stated that it will attract attention with its 6.36 inch AMOLED screen and advanced camera systems. In particular, it is among the leaked information that the Galaxy S25 Ultra model will be equipped with high-resolution camera features such as a 200 MP main camera and a 50 MP ultra wide angle sensor.
