Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ design became clear before launch

Galaxy Tab S12+, which will join Samsung’s new tablet series, was spotted during the Safety Korea certification process before its official launch. While the live image shared with the certification documents reveals the preliminary design of the device, it does not offer any new details about the technical features. The Galaxy Tab S12+ model is expected to be introduced along with the Galaxy S26 FE in early September.

While Samsung has been renewing the Galaxy Tab Ultra model every year in recent years, it has been updating the standard and Plus models alternately. For this reason, after the Galaxy Tab S11 introduced in 2025, the Galaxy Tab S12+ model is expected to meet users this year. This approach adopted by the company in its tablet product range enables it to create a more balanced product cycle between different screen sizes and hardware options. In addition, expectations that the Ultra model will be introduced together with the Galaxy Tab S12 + have become stronger.

For Galaxy Tab S12+ in the documents in the Safety Korea database SM-X840 And SM-X846N model numbers are visible. It is stated that the version coded SM-X846N is the model developed for the South Korean market and offers 5G connection support. The image shared within the scope of certification shows the device only from the front. Despite this, it is clearly seen that the tablet maintains the design line that Samsung has adopted in recent years. Thin screen bezels and simple front-end design are largely similar to previous Galaxy Tab models.

There is limited information about the Galaxy Tab S12+ for now.

Safety Korea certification is often among the first official records that appear during the pre-sale processes of devices. However, these documents do not always include technical specifications. A similar situation exists for the Galaxy Tab S12+. No information regarding the screen, processor, battery capacity, camera system or charging support is shared in the certificate records. For this reason, there are no final details about the tablet’s hardware innovations yet.

However, looking at Samsung’s product calendar, new leaks and certification records are expected to emerge as the launch date approaches. It seems likely that processor preference, display technology, battery capacity and Galaxy AI-supported software features will become clear in the coming weeks. It is also expected that the company will offer the new generation Galaxy Tab series with the current version of Android and the features of the One UI interface developed specifically for tablets.

For now, the most important confirmed development about the Galaxy Tab S12+ stands out as the fact that the device was displayed during the official certification process and shows that it will largely maintain its design line before the launch. As we get closer to the launch event, which is expected to be held in September, more comprehensive information about Samsung’s new tablet family is expected to emerge.
