The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite has started receiving its third and likely final Android update. The tablet, which was updated with One UI 6.0 earlier this year, is now making the move to One UI 6.1. Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite with Android operating system in mid-2021.
The update, which was distributed with the model number T225NKOU8EXH2, also includes the July 2024 security patch. The innovations of Android 14 and One UI 6.1 also reach users with this package.
While most devices that were due for the update have received the latest One UI 6.1 and some are waiting for the 6.1.1 version, the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is a bit late to the party. Still, it’s surprising that a budget and entry-level device is getting its third major software update.
South Korea is the first stop for One UI 6.1 rollout for Galaxy Tab A7 Lite
Samsung has already started rolling out the update in South Korea, and it is expected to start rolling out to other countries soon.
