Xiaomi officially introduced the Redmi Note 14 series in China. This series includes standard, Pro and Pro+ models. The new devices come as the successor of the Note 13 series introduced last year. Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has made some important changes for the Note 14 Pro duo compared to its predecessors. Let’s take a closer look at the features the devices offer out of the box.
Redmi Note 14 Pro and Pro+ models have a new design with a square camera island positioned in the center on the back and a thin profile. Both devices have IP69 certification against dust and water. Additionally, the front part is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which provides a significant advantage in terms of durability.
Both models come with a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED screen. The screen offers 1.5K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and 3000 nits peak brightness. There is also a fingerprint reader on the screen. HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support are also among the notable features of the screen.
In terms of camera, the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Pro+ models feature a triple rear camera setup. In the Pro+ model, a 50MP main sensor is used instead of the 200MP main camera in its predecessors. There is also a 50MP telephoto lens with 60mm focal length and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 2.5x optical zoom. The Note 14 Pro model has the same main camera and ultra wide-angle lens, while the third camera has 2MP resolution. On the front, both models have a 20MP selfie camera.
On the hardware side of the devices, the Redmi Note 14 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, while the Pro + model uses the Dimensity 7300 Ultra processor. While the Note 14 Pro model has a maximum of 12GB of RAM, the Pro+ model offers 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. On the battery side, the Pro+ model has a 6200 mAh silicon-carbon battery with 90W fast charging support, while the Pro model has a 5500 mAh capacity battery with 45W fast charging support. Both devices come out of the box with the Android 14-based HyperOS operating system.
