Redmi continues testing to offer very high battery capacity in the K80 series

Xiaomi is expected to announce the Xiaomi 15 series with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor at the end of October. It is also said that the Redmi K80 series will be released in China in November. While it is said that the K80, K80e and K80 Pro models will be announced first in the series, the famous tipster Digital Chat Station’s sharing sheds light on the battery of the series.

According to Digital Chat Station’s post, batteries with 5960 and 6060 mAh capacities are being tested for the K80 series. It is stated that the typical capacities of these batteries are 6100 and 6200 mAh. It is also among the points highlighted in the post that the maximum capacity can be up to 6500 mAh under laboratory conditions.

This means that Redmi could opt for a single-cell battery with a capacity of 6,500mAh in the K80 series. If this becomes a reality, the K80 would have the highest-capacity battery in its price segment. Redmi’s K70 and K70 Pro models have a 5,000mAh battery, while the K70 Ultra has a 5,500mAh battery.

Redmi K80 Pro will come with 120W charging support

While there have been many leaks about the K80 Pro, details about the K80 remain unclear. According to a new leak, the K80 Pro will come with a 2K resolution 120Hz OLED display, which will also house the phone’s ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The phone’s features include a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel 3x telephoto camera, and 120W fast charging support.

It is also rumored that the Redmi K80 may come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the K80 Pro may come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
