Realme 16T was announced with its huge battery and 144 Hz screen

Realme officially announced the Realme 16T model, the new member of the 16 series. Thus, the total number of models in the series increased to four. The highlight of the device is the large battery with a capacity of 8,000 mAh. While the company states that this battery offers up to three days of use on a single charge, it also claims a seven-year lifespan for long-term durability. In addition, the device has 45W fast charging support, while it is also possible to charge different devices thanks to the 15W reverse wired charging feature.

Realme 16T also includes a feature called “all-scene bypass charging”. This system aims to make the battery heat up less and wear out slower by transferring energy directly to the system, especially when playing games or in intense usage scenarios. Considering the heating and battery health problems encountered in phones with large batteries, this detail seems remarkable in terms of daily use. Despite this, Realme has not shared detailed technical information about the weight and thickness of the device.

On the back, there is a 50-megapixel main camera using a Sony IMX852 sensor. This camera is accompanied by a 2 megapixel monochrome sensor. While Realme highlights its camera system under the name “50 MP Sony IMX852 AI Camera”, it also gives ample space to artificial intelligence-supported photo features. It is stated that the system called AI Portrait Glow analyzes the surrounding light and applies additional light effects in portrait shots. Four different lighting effects are offered: Flash, Studio Light, Natural Light and Rim Light.

In addition, the company’s LumaColor IMAGE technology is also included in the device. It is stated that this system especially aims to make skin tones look more natural. The camera module also includes a ring flash system called Aura Flash and a selfie mirror. Although the selfie mirror is not a completely new approach in the smartphone market, it can offer a practical use, especially for users who want to take selfies with the rear camera. The “Gleaming Wings Design” design on the back surface is only available in the Northern Lights Green color option.

Realme 16T stands out with its durability and screen features

On the front of the phone, there is a 6.8 inch HD + resolution LCD screen. Offering a 144 Hz refresh rate, the panel aims for a smoother experience, especially in games and interface transitions. While the peak brightness level of the screen is announced as 1,200 nits, a centered screen hole is preferred for the front camera. The 16 megapixel selfie camera is located in this section. The fingerprint reader comes integrated into the power button, not under the screen.

On the processor side of the device, there is MediaTek Dimensity 6300. This processor is accompanied by up to 8 GB of RAM. Realme 16T comes out of the box with the Android-based Realme UI 7.0 interface. However, the company has not yet shared official information about how many years software update support will last. Lack of clarity on the update policy may raise questions, especially for users planning long-term use.

On the cooling side, a 5,300 mm² vapor chamber system is used. In addition, the device has MIL-STD-810H durability certification. The phone comes with IP66, IP68, IP69, IP69K and IP69 Pro certificates; It offers protection against water, dust and high pressure water sprays. There is also microSD card support for users who want to increase their storage space, and the capacity can be expanded up to 2 TB.

Realme 16T; It will be available in Northern Lights Green, Starlight Black and India-exclusive Starlight Red color options. On the memory side, three different options are offered: 6 GB + 128 GB, 8 GB + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB. Indian prices were announced as 29,999 rupees (14,303 TL), 31,999 rupees (15,260 TL) and 34,999 rupees (16,890 TL), respectively. Sales of the device will start on May 27 through Realme’s India site, Flipkart and physical stores.
