Random reboot issues are reported on iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models

Some users are reporting various software problems for the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max models released by Apple in September. According to complaints shared by users on various forums, devices randomly freeze and restart on their own. This problem stands out as a situation that particularly affects the iPhone 16 Pro series, and software updates have not been able to solve the problem so far.

Users are reporting that their iPhone 16 Pro device’s screen randomly becomes unresponsive followed by a rapid restart of the phone. This problem can occur both during active use and when the phone is in standby mode. Some users report that these reboots occur 10 to 20 times a day, which seriously disrupts daily use of the phone. Although iOS 18.0.1 and iOS 18.1 updates were previously released, these updates were not enough to solve the problem.

There is an increase in the number of users encountering this problem, especially on social media platforms and technology forums. According to news from reliable sources such as MacRumors and AppleInsider, although some users who contacted Apple Support replaced them with new devices, the same problems continued on the new devices. Users note that the problem sometimes goes away, especially when they install from scratch without using iCloud backups. This suggests that the problem may be related to iCloud.

Some users believe that this problem is caused by software rather than the device’s hardware. However, unless software updates can fix the problem, Apple’s new statements on this issue are eagerly awaited. On the other hand, although there is no clear information about whether the problem is experienced in other iPhone 16 models, most of the complaints are concentrated on Pro and Pro Max models.
