Qualcomm highlighted its new generation processor portfolio at the launch of Snapdragon X Series in Türkiye

Qualcomm organized a comprehensive program introducing the new generation hardware line for the Windows computer ecosystem at the Türkiye promotional event of the Snapdragon X Series processor family. At the event, Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme and Snapdragon X2 Elite were placed at the center of the company’s current architectural strategy on the PC side. These two models stand out with their computing units developed especially for productivity, media processing, scientific applications and real-time artificial intelligence processes.

New technical threshold in PC performance with Snapdragon X2 Elite Series

Marika Nox, Qualcomm’s director of computer technologies in the EMEA region, gave a detailed presentation about the technical path the company follows on PC and mobile platforms, the basic building blocks of the Snapdragon X architecture and the approach to artificial intelligence models running on the device. Nox stated that the Turkish market has moved to a more visible point in terms of Snapdragon-based computer solutions and that the X Elite family has become available in the country.

In the technical framework revealed after the presentation, it was shared that the Snapdragon X2 Elite Series offers a more efficient processing model compared to previous generations with its 3rd generation Qualcomm Oryon CPU architecture. It was emphasized that the performance increase achieved at the same power consumption provides a significant gain, especially in scenarios requiring intensive processing. While the Adreno GPU on the platform offers a significant improvement in performance per watt compared to the previous generation, the Hexagon NPU, which reaches 80 TOPS, creates the necessary infrastructure for Copilot+ PC applications and built-in artificial intelligence processes. This architecture was structured in the form of a thin and light device with the capacity to provide uninterrupted use without the need for external power connection.

In the second part of the event, Snapdragon Expert Trainer Mazi Khirollahi demonstrated the performance of Snapdragon X-based devices with practical tests. Participants had the opportunity to directly experience real-time artificial intelligence functions, operation stability under high load and performance continuity based on power efficiency. Thus, technical details regarding the hardware-software compatibility of the Snapdragon X ecosystem were supported with practical examples.

While this promotion by Qualcomm in Türkiye shows that artificial intelligence-centered architecture is becoming more prominent in PC platforms, Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme and Snapdragon X2 Elite models represent the new generation processing power of this transformation.
