Xiaomi listed a new tablet model under the Poco brand on its global website. An official promotional event has not yet been held for the device, which appears under the name Poco Pad C1. Despite this, with the launch of the product page, the technical features and design details of the model became clear. Looking at the hardware structure of the device, it appears to be largely the same as the Redmi Pad 2 9.7, which was introduced last month. Therefore, it appears that the Poco Pad C1 is being positioned as a rebranded Redmi tablet.
The tablet comes with a 9.7 inch LCD screen. Offering a resolution of 2048 x 1280 pixels, the panel supports 120 Hz refresh rate. In addition, thanks to the 180 Hz touch sampling rate, a smoother use is aimed, especially in interface transitions and gaming experience. The highest brightness value of the screen reaches 600 nits. Although this value is not completely sufficient for outdoor use, it seems to be at a level that can provide a balanced experience for daily use scenarios.
On the tablet side, it seems that screens with high refresh rates have become more common lately. Especially in mid-segment models, 90 Hz and 120 Hz panels are now preferred more frequently. Poco Pad C1 is one of the models that joins this trend.
Poco Pad C1 model comes with Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 processor
On the processor side of the device, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 platform is available. This chipset is among the preferred solutions for entry and mid-segment devices. It is expected to offer sufficient performance for daily app usage, video consumption and basic multitasking. However, it does not promise a flagship-level experience in games that require intense graphics power. It is stated that Xiaomi will offer the tablet with 4 GB and 6 GB RAM options. On the storage side, 64 GB and 128 GB options are available.
The camera features have a structure that can be considered standard for the tablet class. There is an 8-megapixel camera on the back, while there is a 5-megapixel camera on the front. It can be said that an adequate structure is provided, especially for the use of video calls and online education. In addition, the device has a battery with a capacity of 7,600 mAh. The tablet comes with 18W wired charging support. Although the charging speed is not very high by today’s standards, the large battery capacity can provide long usage time.
The physical dimensions of Poco Pad C1 are announced as 226.51 x 147.97 x 7.4 mm. Its weight is 406 grams. These values show that the device offers a structure that is not too heavy on the portability side. Color options include blue and grey. Xiaomi has not yet announced the official sales price of the model. Despite this, the product is expected to start appearing in retail sales channels in different global markets in the coming period. Considering that the Poco brand has reached a wide user base, especially with its price-performance focused products, it seems possible that the Pad C1 will go on sale with a similar positioning.
