The Poco M7 Pro 5G, which is expected to be released soon, has been leaked with some technical details along with its FCC (U.S. Federal Communications Commission) certification. The FCC listing, first spotted by 91mobiles, confirms the phone’s model number (2409FPCC4G) and the “Pro” suffix. Expected to be the successor to the Poco M6 Pro 5G, which was released last year, this model comes with notable innovations.
The FCC documents reveal some important information about the Poco M7 Pro 5G. The device will run Xiaomi’s new operating system HyperOS 1.0, which replaces MIUI. It will also offer NFC support for contactless payments. As for storage capacity, the document mentions a 128GB option, which probably points to the base model of the device.
The images in the leaked documents show significant changes to the phone’s design. The wide camera strip on the Poco M6 Pro has been replaced with a more traditional, square-shaped module that only houses two sensors. The back of the device will have a two-tone green marble-like finish, but other color options are also expected.
Another interesting piece of information in the FCC documents is that the Poco M7 Pro 5G could actually be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 14 5G. According to the documents, the Redmi Global version will have three cameras, while the Poco Global version will have two. This suggests that the two phones are almost identical, but the Poco version may have ditched one camera to gain a price advantage.
Apart from the camera setup, the specifications of the Poco M7 Pro 5G could also be similar to the Redmi Note 14 5G. Rumors have it that the Redmi Note 14 5G will be equipped with a 1.5K AMOLED display, a 50MP main camera, and the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset. The Poco M7 Pro 5G is also expected to have similar specifications.
When will the Poco M7 Pro 5G be released?
After the Poco M6 Pro, which was introduced in August last year, the Poco M7 Pro 5G is also likely to be launched soon.
