Honor held the global launch of its thin and light foldable phone called Magic V3, MagicPad 2 tablet and MagicBook Art 14 laptop, as expected, on the IFA 2024 stage.
The Magic V3 is just 9.2mm thick and weighs 226g, making it slightly thicker than the 8.6mm Galaxy S24 Ultra, but still lighter. And that thinness doesn’t affect its durability, with IPX8 water resistance. Even during our testing, we were unable to damage the device.
The Honor Magic V3 stands out with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, 12GB or 16GB of RAM, and a 5,150mAh battery. The battery supports 66W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. The device has two 120Hz LTPO displays; the outer screen is 6.43 inches with a resolution of 1060 x 2376 pixels, while the foldable inner screen is 7.92 inches with a resolution of 2156 x 2344 pixels.
The camera system is quite impressive; there is a 50 MP 1/1.56-inch main camera, a 50 MP 3.5x periscope zoom lens, and a 40 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with autofocus. There is a 20 MP front camera on both screens.
The Magic V3 is available in Black, Green and Reddish Brown for €1,999/£1,699. The phone is available for pre-order starting today and will be available on shelves from October 1.
MagicPad 2 and MagicBook Art 14 also go global
Another noteworthy product from Honor is the MagicPad 2 tablet. The most prominent feature of the device is its 12.3-inch 144 Hz OLED display and its powerful 10050 mAh battery. The MagicPad 2 comes with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and support for up to 16 GB of RAM.
The tablet, which can also be used with the Magic Bluetooth Keyboard and Magic Pencil 3, is available in Sky Blue and Starry Black. It is priced at 599 euros/499 pounds and is available for pre-order starting today, with shipments starting on October 1.
Finally, another product that Honor has introduced to the global market is the MagicBook Art 14 laptop, which weighs 1.03 kg. The device, which comes with Intel’s Core 5 Ultra 125H and Core 7 Ultra 155H processors, 16 GB or 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB SSD options, has a 14.6-inch 3120 x 2080 pixel resolution 3:2 ratio OLED touchscreen.
The device has a 60Wh battery, two USB-C ports (on the left side), one USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm headphone jack (on the right side). One interesting feature of the MagicBook Art 14 is that there is no visible webcam; the camera is designed as a removable module that can be placed on the screen with magnetic and pogo pins.
Honor has not yet announced the pricing and release date of the MagicBook Art 14.
