Panasonic announces Lumix G97 and ZS99 models

Panasonic introduced the Lumix G97 Micro Four Thirds camera with hybrid features and the Lumix ZS99 compact zoom camera models ideal for travel. Both devices aim to meet the needs of users both in daily use and in creative projects.

Panasonic Lumix ZS99

Lumix ZS99 stands out with its portability and powerful zoom capabilities. The device is equipped with a 24-720mm LEICA DC lens and provides 30x optical zoom and up to 60x zoom with iZoom. This feature makes it possible to capture different scenes, from wide landscapes to detailed close-ups.

The camera offers 5-axis HYBRID Optical Image Stabilization, which provides clear images even when shooting handheld. In terms of video recording, ZS99 makes it possible to create high-resolution and detailed videos with support for 4K 30p video shooting. It also allows capturing fast-moving scenes with 4K PHOTO mode at 30 fps. A 120fps HD high-speed video mode is also available for slow motion.

The ZS99’s 1,840k-dot tilting touch screen allows easy shooting from different angles, while the USB Type-C charging port allows continuous use while traveling. Photos can be easily shared thanks to the built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection. A special button for quick sharing allows images to be instantly transferred to smartphones.

Lumix ZS99, which will be available for $499.99, will be on the market in mid-February 2025 with black and silver color options.

Lumix G97 stands out as a hybrid camera that offers superior performance in both photo and video shooting. Thanks to the 20.3MP CMOS sensor and high-performance processor, the device can produce images with vivid colors and sharp details. The camera offers the opportunity to take impressive shots such as star trails or illuminated scenes with the Live View Composite mode, which combines multiple exposures in real time.

Lumix G97

The camera makes it possible to capture quick moments by shooting high resolution at 30 fps in 4K PHOTO mode. The 5-axis Dual IS2 stabilization system ensures clear photos and videos even in difficult conditions. In video shooting, the G97 is ideal for producing creative content with 4K 30p recording and fast and slow motion options. Additionally, 12-stop V-Log L support offers flexibility for those who want to shoot more cinematic videos.

The dust and splash-proof body of the device ensures reliable use in different shooting environments. Its rotatable LCD screen and OLED viewfinder allow precise framing and focusing. In terms of connectivity, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support enable easy sharing of photos, while the USB Type-C connection offers practicality for charging and data transfer.

The Lumix G97 will be available in late February 2025 for $849.99 with the 12-60mm lens kit.
