With the new update for the smart ring, Oura offered significant innovations that allow its users to follow their daily movements more comprehensively and correctly. This product, which stands out in the wearable technology market, is especially known for analyzing health and fitness data. Now, it draws attention with its new trend appearance that visualizes the active time in more detail. Thanks to this view, users can now see their activities more clearly on the basis of day, week and moon.
In addition, improvements in heart rate follow -up was one of the prominent parts of the update. Users can now manually determine the maximum heart rate speed and the system reorganizes heartbeat areas. Thus, the intensity level of the exercises is analyzed more realistic based on personal data. This means a more accurate health follow -up.
Oura users can now edit activity data for the past.
On the other hand, activities that can only be added in the same day in the previous system can now be manually regulated up to seven days. This function provides significant flexibility, especially in terms of correcting missing or incorrectly recorded activities in the past. In addition, activities from Apple Healthkit and Android’s Health Connect systems are now shown in OURA application with heartbeat data. Thus, data from different sources combine in a single interface to offer users a holistic health follow -up.
Automatic activity detection system was developed in order to better monitor the activities carried out late in the night. Now the movements between 00:00 and 04:00 are also identified and recorded by the system. This is an important innovation especially for those who make night walks or in the night shift. The spread of activity follow -up to any clock of the day makes Oura’s comprehensive analysis capability further.
With the update, the step count system was also restructured. The new model based on machine learning gives very successful results in distinguishing whether a movement is a real step. According to the company, thanks to this method, the margin of error in the daily step count decreased by 61 percent. This allows users to see the amount of daily movement more accurately.
There is a similar improvement in active calorie burning calculations. The new system, which takes into account the heart rate during exercise, calculates the amount of calories burned more realisticly. This development allows sports users to evaluate their performance data more consciously. In this way, the accuracy of feedback after exercise increases.
The application is now able to offer more detailed maps of walking and running using GPS data on the phone. Thus, users can see not only how much they run, but also where and how quickly they run. This map -supported visualization is an important advantage, especially for those who exercise outdoors. Parameters such as road, time and intensity become more pronounced in application.
For now, all these new features are only available to iOS users. Active time for Android users are planned to be available in June and advanced fitness data will be available in June. This temporary difference stems from the integration periods in different operating systems. However, all users are expected to have the same experience in a short time.
In addition to software updates, Oura is trying to improve the user experience with new collaborations. Now it can work integrated with platforms such as Corepower Yoga, Sculpt Society, Technogym and Open. In this way, users can follow not only physical activities, but also mental and physical recovery processes. This experience becomes more personal, especially with yoga and recovery -oriented content.
