Countdown has begun for Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro

Xiaomi has officially announced the launch date of the 17T series, which has been on the agenda for a long time. According to the announcement made by the company, Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro models will be introduced on May 28. In its post for the new models, Xiaomi states that this is the “biggest update in the T series so far.” Many leaks about the devices have emerged in recent weeks, and with the official statement, a significant part of this information has been confirmed.

According to the emerging technical details, both models of the Xiaomi 17T series will come with MediaTek signed processors. While it is stated that the Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor will be used in the standard 17T model, the Dimensity 9500 platform is expected to be included in the 17T Pro, which is positioned at a higher level. It is said that the Pro model, in particular, will offer an experience approaching the flagship class on the performance side. In addition, Xiaomi is expected to continue to maintain the price-performance balance in the T series.

There are significant differences between the two models on the screen side. It is stated that Xiaomi 17T Pro will come with a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen and that this panel will offer Full HD + resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate. The standard Xiaomi 17T model will have a 6.59 inch AMOLED screen. It is said that the refresh rate of this model will remain at 120 Hz. Both devices are aimed to provide a smooth experience, especially in gaming and multimedia use, thanks to their high refresh rates.

Xiaomi 17T Pro model will come with a larger battery and fast charging support

On the camera side, Xiaomi seems to have preferred a similar structure between the two models. Both phones will have a main camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels. While it is stated that the Light Fusion 800 sensor will be used in the Xiaomi 17T model, it is reported that the 17T Pro will come with the more advanced Light Fusion 950 sensor. In addition, it is said that both models will have a 50-megapixel telephoto camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera offering 5x optical zoom. The addition of the telephoto camera to both models is particularly noteworthy because this feature is usually seen in more expensive models.

On the battery capacity side, it seems that Xiaomi is moving towards high values. According to leaks, the Xiaomi 17T model will come with a 6,500 mAh battery and offer 67W fast charging support. It is stated that the capacity of the Xiaomi 17T Pro model will increase to 7,000 mAh. In addition, it is stated that the device will come with 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. Information about European prices has already emerged. The version of the Xiaomi 17T model with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage is expected to start at 749 euros in Europe. It is said that the version of Xiaomi 17T Pro with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage will have a starting price of 999 euros.
