Foldable phones have been in our lives for six years and their development process continues. In this process, it is now the turn of tri-folding phones. In addition to Huawei and TECNO, Oppo is also developing a tri-folding smartphone. Oppo’s concept device also came to light right after TECNO’s concept.
Zhou Yibao, product manager for Oppo’s Find series, shared a photo of the company’s tri-folding device, which features two hinge elements, a nearly bezel-less main display, and a faux leather rear panel.
The device appears to run a modified version of Oppo’s ColorOS interface with large widgets and a taskbar. Unfortunately, no further details about the hardware are available at this time.
Oppo remains committed to foldable phone market
Earlier this year, there were reports suggesting that Vivo and Oppo were pulling out of the foldable smartphone market. Oppo later denied the claim and said it planned to continue developing new foldable devices.
