OnePlus Turbo is preparing to push the limits with its 8,000 mAh battery

OnePlus introduced the OnePlus 15 and Ace 6 models to users the other day. However, the information that the brand was working on a completely new series spread rapidly in the technology world. The name of the first model in this series is stated as OnePlus Turbo. The technical specifications, which were leaked before they were introduced yet, contain remarkable details.

The front of the device has a 6.7 inch OLED screen. This screen promises high performance in terms of fluency with its 165Hz refresh rate. The level called “1.5K” resolution offers a certain balance in terms of clarity and visual sharpness. The high refresh rate may be of particular interest to mobile gamers and video content consumers. The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which will be positioned under the screen, offers a new generation solution in terms of both speed and security.

OnePlus Tutbo will raise the performance limit with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5

On the performance side of the device, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor is a candidate to be one of the most powerful chips in the Android world right now. Even though it has not been released yet, expectations from this processor are quite high. In terms of energy efficiency, graphics power, and AI performance, this chip can stand out in many metrics. On the other hand, OnePlus is directly targeting upper segment users by choosing this processor. This preference can be decisive, especially in intensive multitasking and gaming scenarios.

The most talked about detail of the device was its 8,000 mAh battery. While smartphones today have an average capacity of 4,500 to 5,000 mAh, the value offered by this model is almost double. It is estimated that a battery of this size can easily last two days in daily use. 100W fast charging support can somewhat reduce the difficulties of using this capacity. However, how this high capacity will be reflected in the thickness and weight of the device has already become a matter of debate.

This ambitious step on the battery side makes software and hardware compatibility even more important. System optimizations play a critical role to efficiently utilize such a large power supply. With special adjustments to be made in the Android interface, charging times and power consumption are expected to be managed more rationally. In addition to all these, it is clear that the high battery capacity will be advantageous when playing games or long-term video calls. However, the practical implications of these features in daily use will become clear through tests.

A simpler structure was preferred on the camera side. On the back of the device, there is a 50-megapixel main camera and an ultra-wide-angle sensor with 8-megapixel resolution. Instead of multiple cameras, a compact structure with two sensors has been adopted. This structure can be balanced with software support. However, users’ expectations are shaped by whether there will be sufficient performance, especially in night shooting and video stabilization.

The multimedia hardware of the phone is also determined to support the flagship class. Stereo speakers, X-axis linear vibration engine and NFC support that enhance the gaming and media experience are included in the device. These elements can make a difference, especially in day-to-day functions such as physical feedback and payment. In addition, it is important that these components are well integrated with the OnePlus software, which enriches the overall user experience of the device. Although these technical specifications look impressive on paper, performance on the field will be more decisive.

It is stated that OnePlus Turbo is currently undergoing active testing in India. This can be considered as a sign that the model will be officially introduced soon. Sources suggest that the device will be introduced in India within two months. Therefore, the model is expected to be released before the end of the year. During this period, user interest is likely to increase as technical details become clearer.
