OnePlus Turbo 6X series came on the scene with its giant batteries

OnePlus introduced the Turbo 6X and Turbo 6X Pro models with the announcement made in China. The company’s new smartphones stand out especially with their high-capacity batteries, 144 Hz refresh rate screens and MediaTek’s Dimensity 7 series processors. The devices, which are currently only available in the Chinese market, are expected to be offered under different names under the OnePlus Nord series in global markets in the future.

OnePlus Turbo 6X Pro, the top model of the series, comes with a silicon-carbon (Si-C) battery with a capacity of 8,000 mAh. While this battery offers 80W SuperVOOC fast charging support, it can also be charged up to 55W with third-party chargers. The standard Turbo 6X model has a 7,000 mAh battery and the device comes with 45W SuperVOOC fast charging support. Thanks to silicon-carbon battery technology, which has become widespread recently, manufacturers can offer higher capacity in relatively compact designs.

Turbo 6X Pro is positioned as the more advanced model of the series on the screen side. The device has a 6.78-inch M14 AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1272 x 2772 pixels. The panel, which supports 144 Hz refresh rate, provides a smoother viewing experience, especially in gaming and multimedia use. In addition, the optical fingerprint reader placed under the screen and the 16-megapixel front camera are among the notable features of the Pro model.

The standard Turbo 6X comes with a 6.72-inch LCD screen. The screen, which offers Full HD + resolution, supports 144 Hz refresh rate, as in the Pro model. Despite this, the use of an LCD panel instead of AMOLED stands out as one of the differences between the two devices. The model, whose fingerprint reader is integrated into the power button, has an 8-megapixel camera on the front.

MediaTek Dimensity 7 series processors power the performance side

Both models use MediaTek’s Dimensity 7 series processors. While there is Dimensity 7400 Super in the Turbo 6X Pro, Dimensity 7360 Super processor is preferred in the Turbo 6X model. On the memory and storage side, the two devices offer similar options. Models can be purchased with a maximum of 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage capacity.

There are also some differences in the rear camera system. Both phones have a 50-megapixel main camera. However, Turbo 6X Pro also has an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The standard Turbo 6X uses a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor as the second camera. For this reason, the model that offers more flexibility in photo shooting is the Pro version.

On the software side, both devices come out of the box with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. In addition, different levels of durability are offered. Turbo 6X Pro provides more comprehensive protection against water and dust thanks to its IP68 and IP69K certifications. Turbo 6X, on the other hand, offers protection for daily use scenarios with its IP64 certification.

OnePlus Turbo 6X went on sale in black, green and white color options. The starting price of the model is set at 1,899 yuan for the version with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, while the price of the version offering 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage reaches 2,299 yuan.

Turbo 6X Pro is available to users with black and orange color options. While the starting price of the device is announced as 1,999 yuan, the upper version offering 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage carries a price tag of 2,399 yuan. Both models are available for order in China via Oppo’s official online store. The first deliveries are planned to begin on June 15. The Turbo 6X series, which stands out especially with its high-capacity batteries, 144 Hz screens and competitive prices, is among the options that appeal to middle segment users who prioritize long battery life.
