OnePlus follows a different path with its new gaming phone

OnePlus is preparing to attract attention with Ace 6 Ultra, targeting mobile gamers. In this model, the company adopts an approach that focuses directly on the gaming experience rather than appealing to the general user base. When we look at the promotional materials, it is seen that the device clearly reflects this focus with both its technical features and design language. Especially the preferences on the screen and battery side reveal a structure that prioritizes long-term gaming sessions.

One of the most prominent components of Ace 6 Ultra is its screen with 165 Hz refresh rate, developed together with BOE. OnePlus states that this panel offers an experience at the level of desktop gaming monitors. However, it is not yet clear how this claim will translate into daily use and different gaming scenarios. However, the high refresh rate and possible low latency values ​​can provide a significant advantage for competitive mobile games.

On the design side, a more aggressive and eye-catching approach has been preferred. The color option called “Ace Awakening” stands out with the large and reflective Ace logo on the back surface. This look was created using a 3D laser engraving technique and features a surface effect that interacts with light. This kind of design moves away from simple and classical lines and brings the aesthetic approach seen especially in gaming equipment to the phone.

OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra hardware focuses on gaming performance

It is stated that the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor is preferred on the hardware side of the device. This choice means a different orientation from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite platform in the standard Ace 6 model. In addition, the 8,500 mAh capacity battery and 100W fast charging support are among the prominent elements of the device. While the large battery capacity offers a significant advantage in terms of providing uninterrupted use during long gaming sessions, fast charging support allows for return to use in a short time.

However, it seems that OnePlus is planning this model only for the Chinese market for now. The company generally chooses to offer the Ace series in limited regions, and not all models reach the global market. Therefore, there remains uncertainty about whether Ace 6 Ultra will come to international markets. The accessibility of this model for users living outside China seems limited for now.

On the other hand, OnePlus announced that a new device with a different form factor will be introduced along with the Ace 6 Ultra. Although no details have been given about this product yet, it is noteworthy that it will take part in the same event.
