OnePlus is working on the new smartphone series Ace 5 for the Chinese market. Reliable leak source Digital Chat Station claimed in its latest Weibo post that the Ace 5 series will be announced in China in late December or early January. In another Weibo post made today, new information was given about the battery capacities of the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro models.
DCS’s Weibo post included OnePlus’ new phones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (SM8750) and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (SM8650) processors. The models expected to be equipped with these processors are thought to be the upcoming OnePlus Ace 5 Pro and Ace 5. According to the leak, both phones will have a 6500 mAh battery. Current estimates suggest that the maximum battery capacity will be between 6300 mAh and 6500 mAh. It is also stated that the batteries will have approximately 10 percent silicon content.
OnePlus Ace 5 series will come with fast charging and ceramic design
Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro will both offer 100W dual-cell fast charging support. It is predicted that the JN1 sensor will be used in the telephoto lens of Ace 5 Pro. It is also among the information that the series will come with a ceramic body and flat screen.
In previous leaks, it was claimed that OnePlus Ace 5 Pro and Ace 5 would be equipped with a BOE X2 screen offering 1.5K resolution. The devices are expected to come with a right-angled metal middle frame to increase durability.
In terms of cameras, it is said that both devices will have a Sony IMX9 series 50-megapixel main camera, and this camera will have a large sensor size of 1/1.56 inches. It is also stated that the phones will come out of the box with Android 15 based on ColorOS 15.
Currently, the company is focused on the launch of OnePlus 13. According to official statements, OnePlus 13, which will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, will be introduced in October.
