One UI 9.0 development has started for Galaxy Tab S10 Lite and Tab A11

Nearly a month and a half after Samsung rolled out the One UI 8.5 update to the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite and Galaxy Tab A11 models, it seems to have started working on the next major software update for these two tablets. New firmware files appearing on the company’s servers show that the development and testing process of the Android 17-based One UI 9.0 version has begun. Although an official announcement has not been made yet, the detection of new versions reveals that the update is in the preparation phase.

New software packages seen on Samsung’s servers for Galaxy Tab S10 Lite X406BXXU5DZG1For Galaxy Tab A11 X135FXXU4CZG1 bears the version number. The information was first shared by Fahad Ali Javed. Considering the firmware numbering system that Samsung uses on its tablets, these versions are considered to indicate a newer One UI version than the current software. Since both models are currently running One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 QPR2, it seems very likely that the new files belong to One UI 9.0 tests.

Samsung One UI 9.0 update is also being prepared for tablets

Samsung introduced One UI 9.0 with the Galaxy S26 series in May. While the new interface is developed on the basis of Android 17, it includes system-wide performance improvements, security updates and various innovations to improve the user experience. The company plans to distribute the new version first to the latest flagship models, and then gradually roll it out to older devices within the scope of support.

However, the new firmware files seen for the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite and Galaxy Tab A11 show that Samsung has also accelerated its preparations on the tablet side. Although the fact that the testing process has started does not mean that the update will be released in a short time, it is considered an important sign confirming that development work is actively continuing. The company may announce the beta or stable version distribution schedule after internal testing.

On the other hand, Samsung’s new foldable phones, which are expected to be introduced this month, are expected to come with the stable version of One UI 9.0. Following this introduction, it is stated that the company will gradually roll out the software first to supported flagship phones, then to tablet models and other Galaxy devices. Galaxy Tab S10 Lite and Galaxy Tab A11 users may have to wait a while longer to upgrade to the new version.

For now, official details have not been shared about what new features One UI 9.0 will offer on these two tablets. Despite this, new firmware versions appearing on Samsung servers show that the development process is progressing and the update is one step closer to distribution. It is expected to obtain clearer information about the update schedule and supported features as new versions of the testing process emerge in the coming period.
